Learn How We Do It Differently at Skin Therapy
Facial massage has been the heart of Skin Therapy from the beginning. We think it’s the most important part of a facial. Don’t get it wrong, the products we use during treatments are incredibly effective and take facials to the next level, but if it were just about the products, we’d hand you a kit and send you home to apply them yourself.
Facial massage increases blood flow to the skin, stimulating collagen and elastin production, and gently releases built-up tension in our delicate facial muscles and fascia. We also provide lymphatic drainage which helps with depuffing, along with speeding up repair time for slow-to-heal skin.
Beyond that, facial massage is much more than a holistic method of anti-aging, and it’s obvious in the state of pure bliss and relaxation our clients take home with them. Yes, products can leave your skin looking dewy and bright, but nothing compares to that lit-from-within glow and tension-free face you feel after a facial massage.
All of our custom facials include facial massage, and you have the option to spend the entire time of your facial skipping the peels and products in order for us to fully stimulate and repair the skin through massage.

If you’re just wanting to focus on facial massage, 60 minutes should be enough time, but we always say, the longer the better!
Our 75 and 90 minute options allow us to do further release of the scalp, neck and shoulders, chest, and arms which all can contribute to facial tension.
Longer sessions are also advised if you are hoping to receive other modalities such as chemical peels or peptide masks.

Yes, and it can be so healing for any inflammatory skin condition!
Depending on your needs, we may focus more on lymphatic drainage and gentle release, instead of more invigorating, firm pressure to avoid causing more inflammation.
We also make sure to cool your skin down after!
